FinAI Dashboard (Test Prompting)
Just testing some AI prompts for creating a dashboard for our finances. We weren’t specific with our details, but it’s interesting how AI just went with it. We’ll brainstorm and test a few ideas through some prompts and generate various images.
First prompt:
Please create a 3-2 layered section Dashboard. no data as i will provide later. please use #00E5FF for background color. please generate image for this dashboard
Failed on the 3-2 layered section as it generated 3-2-2. First 3-2 was correct and it showed blank sections. AI used their own dimensions as we didn’t state anything specific. However, not sure why AI created an additional layer with 2 sections, one that looks like a calendar, and another one a graph with no apparent data. Also, we chose this hex color as it looks decent, but looks very sky bluish? Not relevant for our purposes.
Next prompt:
Can you change the background color lighter shade blue with transparency at 50%?
Background color looks better. Transparency looks closer to what we were looking for, so we wanted it to make it look cooler. More futuristic.
Next prompt:
Background color wasn’t what we expected, but the contrast looks nice. It’s the style that the AI chose to generate. Maybe AI mistakenly assumed futuristic with space? Are the lines represented as shooting stars? Regardless, background template looks quite nice considering that we didn’t specify any hex colors variation or background styles to use. Another interesting note is that the section borders have a different contrast, so it makes the section boxes look 3D style, without stating the 3D effect.
We’ll stop here as the goal is to eventually embed our financials into this type of background template, but hard to say if AI can replicate the exact same image as the way we visualize an image is different than how AI views it.
However, we’re prompted AI to provide details of the dashboard and it’s nothing that we’ve initially specified. We’ll continue to test background templates for dashboards using this test as our basis.
